2006
- Cinematographer for Cyanotype Production's "Summer Longings" - a 45
minute period costume film set in 1851 and based on historical events
in Rochester, N.Y. including a recreation of Jenny Lind's concert
performance.
Managed cinema lighting, camerawork (including building dolly), sync
sound recording, crew of three (grip, gaffer, best boy).
2007 - Cleaned and scanned five archival
documentary films for Rochester Museum and Science Center from c. 1970:
interviewees included Rochester luminaries such as M. Herbert Eisenhart
(former chairman of Bausch and Lomb), General Edward Peck Curtis (Air
Force general and Kodak Vice-President), Dr. Howard Hanson (director of
the Eastman School of Music), Mrs. Harper Sibley (wife of former
president of U.S. Chamber of Commerce) and Mrs. F. Hawley Ward (herself
a Rochester civic leader).
2008 - Co-producer and cinematographer
for documentary short film "In Sight Out: Mark Groaning," shown at two
film festivals and winner of the 2008 Mary Elizabeth Knight Award.
2009 - Developed concept and show for City
of Rochester's "Celebrate One City!" laser show (see PROFESSIONAL for more
details).
2010 - Awarded contract to create a
completely new multimedia and laser show concept for Crazy Horse
Memorial. Produced script and scratch sound track for the new 24 minute
show.
Personal
When not working I like to skate, ride bikes and walk.
I enjoyed the challenge of bending conduit and re-wired our house.
I also like working on general restoration of our 1920s house.
I've built my own camera dolly for movie production.
